Official webpage of the Trail de Bruxelles (6 - 14 - 21 - 33km). This event is part of the Runners' Lab Trailrunseries.

The 5th edition of the Trail de Bruxelles will take place on 18th October 2020. Start and finish at the Sportcenter next to the Sonian Forest. Participants can choose between 4 distances: 6, 14,, 21 and 33km. Parcours will guide you through the beautifulest places of the green lung of Brussels: The Sonian Forest

Course

A trail with start and finish at the edge of the Sonian Forest which will make you disover the most beautiful places of it, 90% in full nature.

          Practical information


          • Address - How to get there

            The race secretariat is located on the Athletics track of the Centre Sportif de la Forêt de Soignes.

            Address: Chaussée de Wavre 2057, 1160 Auderghem.

            Due to Covid measures, there is no longer a group start but a free start directly in the Forêt de Soignes.

            This start is at the end of the Avenue Charles Schaller. If you don't have to go to the secretariat before the race, we advise you to go directly to the starting point.  On the Chaussée de Wavre, turn right onto Avenue Hugo Van der Goes and then the first left onto Avenue Charles Schaller. The start is in the woods, past the barrier at the end of the avenue. (Follow the yellow line on the map below).



            If you need to go to the secretariat, a sign will lead you on Charles Schaller Avenue by the field hockey fields of the Centre Sportif. Thank you for respecting the signposting. (follow the blue dotted lines on the map below). 

            Access to the athletics track is through the main gate, 20m below the main entrance of the center. (Please do not enter through the main entrance of the sports center).

            The finish is in the Forêt de Soignes on the Chemin des Trois Fontaines (100m on foot from the Sports Center).

            For those who have ordered a t-shirt, it will be possible to collect it at the race secretariat before or after your race, the secretariat is open from 8.45 am to 5 pm.


          • Parking

            There are not many parking spaces around the Centre Sportif. The Carrefour of Auderghem will, as every year, make two parking lots available to runners, Parking P1 and P2. Due to various events on the Carrefour site, it is mandatory to access them via the Avenue Gustave Demey (see map below, access in yellow). 

            It is strictly forbidden to park in the bend under the freeway, otherwise the vehicle will be immediately removed (red zone on the map).


            The Sports Center is located at 1.2km walking distance from the Herrmann-Debroux stop, well served by the bus, metro and bus of STIB and De Lijn. So do not hesitate to use public transport. 

          • Program

            Un départ libre est prévu pour chaque distance afin de respecter les règles relatives aux covid-19. Vous avez à chaque fois une heure de temps pour prendre le départ de la distance choisie.

          • Pick up bib number and T-shirt

            Bib numbers will be sent to your home adress only if you indicated this option when you registered. You didn't indicate this option?  Log in to your account and modify it yourself. You will receive the bib number(s) a few days before the event.

            If you register more than one participant, the bib numbers will be sent to the address of the account holder. Make sure the address in your account is correct and complete.

            You can get all extras you ordered (such as a T-shirt, Scarff® or a foldable cup) on site at the race office.  It is possible to pick up the numbers of your family and/or friends. You must report all last minute changes in distance to the secretariat.

          • Change name, distance and / or cancel

            Changing your distance, buying a T-shirt, adapting your data and even canceling it can ONLY be done through your Larssie account. So you do this all by yourself!

            After you have logged in, search for the relevant order and change the details. If your new data results in a lower cost price, your account will be credited and you can use that amount for another registration. If your new information leads to a higher registration price, you still have to pay that amount to complete the change.

            If you wish to cancel, your account will be credited in accordance with our cancellation conditions. You can then spend this amount on another registration later.

            Attention: Please check the conditions of the organizer to find out until when  you can cancel and how much your account will be credited !

          • Showers - Dressing rooms - Bags drop-off

            Taking into account the current hygiene regulations, showers and/or changing rooms are not provided. 

            Consequently, no "storage sports bags" are provided.
          • Insurance physical accidents

            By default you are NOT insured through the organization for physical injuries during the race. You can choose to take an insurance through the organizer when you register. This is an additional paying option.

          • Charity - Think Pink


            The organization supports the charity THINK PINK, the national breast cancer campaign. With your registration you can make a donation.


          • Photoservice

            A selection of photos can be found a few days after the event on our Facebook page. This can be viewed by anyone, including those who do NOT have a Facebook account.

            During the event, the Sportograf team will be present to take the most beautiful photos of you in action. You can find your personal photos via the link below or by clicking on the icon behind your name in the results list.

          Race information


          • Start Procedure

            There is no mass start

            Taking into account the current Corona measures, the free start principle applies to any distance. You always have a specific time slot you need to respect.   

            Your time only starts to run the moment you cross the starting line. If you decide to run a different distance on the day itself, you must inform the race office in advance.

          • Cut-off times

            We are awaiting runners before 17.00

          • Podium / Prize allocation

             Taking into account the current Corona measures, there will be no podium ceremony for this event. 

             There will be no prizes for the winners.

          • Aid stations / No plastic cups / Personal drop bag

            Consult the tab "route" to get detailed information about the aid stations. 

            Attention, taking into account the current Corona measures, many aid stations are no longer available and they’re very limited.   

            You will receive a race briefing a few days before the event, clearly indicating how the aid stations are handled and what is expected to be done to comply with the regulations.

                • What's the difference between a trailrun and a NaturaRun?

                  En trail l'accent est mis sur l'aventure. Les parcours empruntent quasiment entièrement des sentiers, dont certains assez techniques. Les montées et descentes peuvent être très raides, vous devrez parfois traverser des rivières ou passer sur des roches glissantes. Ces courses supposent d'avoir de l'expérience et le goût du défi.

                  Les NaturaRuns sont eux une version "light" des trails. Ils se pratiquent dans de magnifiques lieux en pleine nature mais sont moins techniques. Les NaturaRuns empruntent plutôt des chemins forestiers ou des chemins de champs et sont accessibles à tous, peu importe le niveau.

                  Attention: nos NaturaRuns les plus durs pourraient s'appeler trails...et vice-versa.

                • Are dogs and/or poles allowed?

                  Unfortunately dogs are not allowed during this event.

                  Poles are allowed.

                • Due to circumstances I cannot participate. What should I do?

                  Changing your distance, buying a T-shirt, adapting your data and even canceling it can ONLY be done through your Larssie account. So you do this all by yourself!

                • Do I need specific shoes to run this race?

                  Des chaussures de trails sont toujours recommandées lorsque vous participez à une course sur sentiers. Elles offrent plus de stabilité sur des terrains accidentés et accrochent mieux sur des surfaces telles que les racines, la roche, etc. De plus, cette adhérence sera particulièrement utile pour les montées et descentes techniques.
