The route consists of three different loops with a start and finish in Maboge at Café den Erpel.
Choose one of the three loops offered, or combine them as you wish. The southern loop to the Nisramont dam is the most varied and the most beautiful.
The SOUTH loop towards Nisramont & Fily - 30km / 1000 D+ / 87% unpaved
After a long and gradual ascent to Hubermont and a nice descent, you arrive at Nisramont, where a nice loop on a private land is waiting for you. After a passage at the dam, you go up to Fily and Ollemont. After a descent and a technical passage along the Ourthe, you go up to Nadrin to join Hubermont after a fast and rocky descent by a crossing. From there, everything is downhill until Maboge!
When to ride : The best time is between April 1 and September 30. The loop should NOT be done in the winter and during high water levels.
The NORTH loop to Samree : 22km / 700 D+ / 96% unpaved
Everything takes place north of Maboge in the vast forests of Borzée, Samrée and Bérismenil. Many climbs and some steep descents are on the menu.
When to ride : The best is between April 1st and September 30th. The loop can be walked all year round, except on certain weekends between October 1 and December 31 (hunting) and in case of snow and/or ice.
The EXTREME loop : 8km / 370 D+ / 72% unpaved
For the more hardcore mountain bikers for whom this may be just a little more. 4 technical and steep descents, the last 2 of which are famous and infamous. Expect a lot of rocks, roots and 30%+ percentages. Not for the faint of heart!
